My name is Benton Timpanaro, and I am honored to serve as the School Counselor at Hyde Park Elementary. I am committed to supporting your child's emotional, social, and academic development throughout their time here. I believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for your child's success, and I am here to be an integral part of that partnership.

The role of a school counselor is multifaceted, and my primary goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where your child can thrive. Here are some ways in which I can assist your child:

1. Individual Counseling: I am available for one-on-one sessions with students to address personal and academic concerns, helping them develop essential life skills and coping strategies.

2. Group Counseling: I facilitate various group counseling sessions on topics such as self-esteem, friendship, and resilience, fostering a sense of belonging and emotional growth among students.

3. Classroom Guidance: I collaborate with teachers to deliver classroom lessons on important topics like conflict resolution, bullying prevention, and study skills, equipping your child with valuable tools for success.

4. Parent Support: I am here to provide guidance and resources to parents, offering insights into how you can support your child's educational and emotional needs.

5. College and Career Readiness: As students’ progress, I help them explore their interests, set goals, and plan for their academic and career future.

Please know that my office door is always open, and I am readily available to listen, support, and guide your child through any challenges they may encounter.
